Contract & Policy

The following terms outline the agreement between Noura Burhan Photography (“the Photographer”) and the Client (“the Client”) for event photography services. These policies ensure that expectations are clear and that both parties are protected throughout the process.

1. Retainer & Payment
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to secure the event date. The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of the event prior to the start of coverage. Payments can be made via PayPal, e-transfer, or invoice (sent manually by email). Failure to complete payment on the event day may result in a delay or withholding of the final photo delivery until the balance is settled.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the event: The retainer may be transferred to a future date (subject to availability) or applied toward a rescheduled event.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event: The 50% retainer is non-refundable. The remaining balance is not required.
Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule their event once, free of charge, provided sufficient notice is given.
Cancellations due to illness or emergency: The retainer remains non-refundable unless valid medical documentation or receipts are provided. Images, text messages, or personal claims without verifiable proof will not be accepted as valid evidence.
Photographer cancellations: In the rare case that Noura must cancel due to an emergency or illness, the Client will receive a full refund of all payments made. No replacement photographer will be sent in her place.

3. Usage Rights & Social Media Terms
The Client is granted full rights to use the delivered images for internal, commercial, and marketing purposes, including press, print, and digital media. While not mandatory, it is appreciated and encouraged that credit be given to the Photographer as follows: Photo by Noura Burhan Photography

The Photographer retains full copyright and ownership of all images and may use them for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing. A confidentiality option can be arranged upon request for private or restricted corporate events.

4. Delivery Timeline
Edited images are typically delivered within 5–10 business days, depending on event size and editing requirements. For larger events or unforeseen delays, delivery may extend up to two weeks. Rush delivery options are available for an additional fee, as outlined in the chosen package. Final galleries are delivered through Pixieset via a private link, accessible for three (3) months. Clients will also receive a WeTransfer link as a secondary download option.

5. Liability & Force Majeure
The Photographer is not liable for any failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: equipment failure, power outage, natural disaster, venue restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies. While every effort will be made to minimize disruption (including use of backup equipment when possible), Noura Burhan Photography shall not be held responsible for conditions that impede or prevent the creation of desired images. Liability of the Photographer shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client under this agreement. No further claims for damages, emotional distress, or consequential loss shall be recognized.

6. Editing, Retouching & File Delivery
All delivered images are professionally edited and finalized in alignment with the style, moodboard, and portfolio of the Photographer. Images are delivered in JPG format only. RAW files are not provided. Light retouching and color correction are included in every package. Additional retouching requests may be accommodated for selected images upon request, depending on scope and feasibility. All artistic and creative decisions regarding image selection and editing are made at the discretion of the Photographer.

7. Gallery Access & Privacy
Client galleries may be password-protected upon request. Clients are free to share their gallery links publicly unless otherwise stated. Galleries remain available online for three (3) months, after which they may be archived or removed. Clients are encouraged to download and back up their images promptly.

8. Add-Ons & Extra Services
Add-on services such as express delivery, second shooter, or additional hours are billed as stated in the package details. Payment for add-ons is due at the time of booking or prior to the event day. Add-on fees are non-refundable once the service has been confirmed.

9. Agreement
By booking with Noura Burhan Photography, the Client acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined above.
